Celebrating the Legacy of High Chief Segun Osibote, the Aloran of Ijebu Ife: A Political Icon

High Chief Segun Osibote, also known as Aloran, stands tall among these icons. Born on December 30, 1946, in Ogun State, into the esteemed family of Chief Stephen Osibote, a Pharmacist, High Chief Aloran was destined for greatness from the start. His foray into politics in the late 80s marked the beginning of a remarkable journey that would see him rise above challenges and adversaries to become a revered leader in Ogun State politics and beyond.

One of his defining moments came when he took the center stage in Nigerian politics, emerging as the State Chairman of the National Republican Convention from the Liberal Convention Party, defeating heavyweight contenders who were backed by political heavyweights from the then Nigeria National Congress. His tenure as a member of the House of Representatives further solidified his reputation as a principled and dedicated servant of the people.
