The Alaperu of Iperu Remo, Ikenne Local Government, Ogun State, Nigeria, His Royal Highness, Alayeluwa, Oba Adeleke Adelekan IDOWU-BASIBO (Odoru V), FIEX, FICMC, has rejoiced with all the sons and daughters of Iperu Akesanland, both at home and in the diaspora, on the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
The monarch, in his sallah message, expressed his heartfelt felicitations to the indigenes as well as residents of Iperu on the Ileya celebration for the grace to be alive to be among those celebrating the 2024 edition.
He gives all glory and adoration to God for preserving and protecting the lives of many till this moment.
He implored all his subjects to live and co-exist harmoniously while embracing love, peace, and unity amongst themselves.
Describing Eid-el-Kabir as a symbol of sacrifice as reflected in the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his only son as an act of submission to Allah, the monarch reminded all, especially the islamic adherents to submit themselves to the Almighty Allah and urge them to prioritize their spiritual well-being over worldly desires.
He implored them to live during and after the festival, a life full of piety, sacrifice, self-denial, peace, and love, which the season symbolises.
While wishing all a happy and rewarding celebration, he charged them to celebrate without fear, as adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure safety and security of lives and properties, within Iperu and its environs.
