The Battle for the Future of Sagamu Youth Association

By Sagamu Youth Concerned -

In a community where youth empowerment is paramount, a storm is brewing. The definition of youth, once thought to be a settled matter, is now at the center of a heated debate.

The Sagamu Youth Association, a bastion of hope for young people in the area, is facing a crisis of leadership.

Some individuals, desperate to grasp power, are lobbying tirelessly, seeking support from politicians and community leaders. But their ambition is blind to the consequences.

They are not qualified to lead, and their actions threaten to undermine the very fabric of the association.

The African Youth Charter, a landmark document adopted in 2006, defines youth as individuals between 15 and 35 years old.

This definition has been widely accepted across the continent, and it is the benchmark for youth empowerment initiatives.

But in Sagamu, some individuals are trying to bend the rules, to twist the definition to suit their own interests.

They are putting personal ambition ahead of the needs of the community, and it's a dangerous game.

The Sagamu Youth Association is a community business center, a hub of activity and hope.

It's a place where young people can come together, share ideas, and build a better future.

But it's under threat from those who would seek to destroy it from within.

The battle for the future of Sagamu Youth Association has begun.

Will the community come together to defend its youth, or will the ambitions of a few destroy the progress made so far?

Sagamu Youth Concerned is a group of young people committed to promoting the welfare and empowerment of youth in Sagamu.

We will not stand idly by while the future of our association is jeopardized. We will fight for the rights of youth, and we will defend the integrity of our association.
