Flooding Crisis in Sagamu: Residents Cry Out for Help

Sagamu, a community in the Remo Federal Constituency, is grappling with a devastating flooding crisis. Recent rains have turned streets into rivers, rendering residents stranded and commuters helpless. The Sagamu Expressway, a critical thoroughfare, becomes impassable during rainfall, causing immense hardship for all.

Areas like Ewusi Road, near Igbobi, and Awolowo Market are consistently flooded, exacerbating the crisis. Residents and commuters alike are suffering, with many feeling abandoned by the authorities.

Awobajo Adesegun Adeyinka Acathy, a constituent resident, has issued a passionate plea to Rt. Honourable Otunba Oriyomi Onanuga, Deputy Chief Whip, Federal House of Representatives, representing Remo Federal Constituency, to intervene urgently.

"We need your help, Honourable Onanuga," Acathy said. "Our community is drowning, and we need your influence to secure prompt attention."

We urge you to monitor rainfall, facilitate urgent intervention, and collaborate with relevant agencies to construct proper drainage systems.

The people of Sagamu are counting on your prompt response.

Will you answer their call for help?
