Ogun State House of Assembly will on Monday, 22nd July, 2024 begin the mid- year budget performance appraisal of the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government in the State to ascertain their level of compliance with the 2024 Appropriation Law.
A release by the Clerk of the Assembly, Mr. Sakiru Adebakin, indicated that the exercise which is part of the oversight functions of the legislative arm of Government in promoting accountability, transparency with the purpose of creating value for government resources is in consonance with sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
According to the release, the budget performance assessment would commence at 10:00am daily and end on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024.
The release enjoined all ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) of government to make available all relevant documents and information to ensure the success of the exercise.
