Enisemu Leguru Ajisa Adegboyega Commends Governor Dapo Abiodun for Declaring Isese Day as a Public Holiday

The Enisemu Leguru of the Enisemu Leguru Community, Ajisa Adegboyega, has hailed the Ogun State Government’s decision to declare Tuesday, August 20th, 2024, as a public holiday in celebration of Isese Day. The move, which aligns with the Dapo Abiodun-led administration’s commitment to religious inclusivity, has been praised as a significant step towards fostering religious harmony in the state.

In a statement released in Ijebu Ode on Monday, where the Ojubo of the Enisemu Leguru is being observed, Enisemu Leguru expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, for his unwavering support of traditional worshippers. "This decision is a testament to Governor Abiodun's respect for the diverse religious practices within Ogun State. By allowing citizens to freely practice their beliefs without interference, the governor has reinforced the principle of religious freedom that is so vital to our unity and progress," said Ajisa Adegboyega.

He further highlighted the unique significance of Isese Day, noting that it is a time for traditional worshippers to reconnect with their cultural roots and offer prayers for peace and prosperity in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole. "Isese Day is not just a celebration; it is a reflection of our deep spiritual heritage.
