The youth Chairman of Ogun State, Olóyè Akolawole Shoremi, has urged the delegation of Ogun State, currently at the two weeks National Youth in Agriculture Training Programme holding at Ode-Omu in Osun State, to sustain the exemplary leadership attributes notable of the people of Ogun State.
Shoremi made this charge earlier today, November 12, 2024, at Ogun Youth House, MKO Abiola Stadium Abeokuta, as he bid farewell to twenty—five young persons who would join other Trainees mobilized across the Southwest and Southeast geopolitical zones.
The programme, organized by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, in line with the Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, will encourage participants to venture in an area of choice in any of the following: Fish Farming and Preservation, Cassava Processing and Value Addition, Bee Rearing and Honey Production. The Participants will also attend compulsory training on Entrepreneurship, and Civic and Leadership Studies.
In his farewell message, the youth Chairman commended the Federal Government as the training aims to empower young Nigerians in various agricultural ventures, including fish farming, cassava processing, and beekeeping.
“As you embark on this transformative journey, remember that you represent not just yourselves but our dear State. Let your conduct, dedication, and achievements reflect the values and great aspirations we are notable for,” Shoremi reiterated.
He further charged them to continuously explore potential opportunities for self development and capacity building, take advantage of the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge that will empower them to become successful entrepreneurs and contribute to the development of Ogun State.
The delegation is expected to return to Abeokuta from November 22, 2024.
